Macrame Angel, Christmas Angel Decoration

A beautiful macramé Christmas Angel to watch over the festivities.

She is an original 3 dimensional artwork created by hand tying knots into intricate shapes and patterns.

Made to my own macrame design using a stunning pearl bamboo string. The bamboo has a wonderful sheen to it which makes her gently shine.

A golden halo rests upon her head which is tilted down and her hands are closed in prayer.

A scalloped tier, with small spirals above, decorates the middle of the skirt and the whole gown is finished in a double scalloped edge at the bottom.

The wings have an intricate feathery design with the cords brushed out and shaped. A piece of woollen felt has been attached to the back of the wings and a coat of stiffener has been added to the brushed out cords. Stainless steel wire also runs through the top of the wings which then runs down through the inside of the body to be fixed internally lower down.

There is also a thin florists wire in the halo.

For the head I have used a large wooden bead and her hair has been made from 100% recycled cotton.

A piece of beige cotton cloth has been hand stitched to the underside of the Angel.

She measures 20cm in height and 20cm across her wings.

This stunning Angel would make a wonderful additional to the home at Christmas time.

Also due to the wool felt on the wings she is not Vegan.
