A trio of Victorian carol singers standing under the gas lamp in the snow. A light dusting covering the lamppost and settling on them as sing. The two female singers are wearing traditional Christmas coloured dresses, with matching bonnets and capes. A slip of white petticoat can be seen beneath the dresses. The gentleman is wearing a purple coat with a light grey collar and a white cravat. His trousers are two tone grey and black, whilst his hat and shoes are dark grey. These are macrame carol singers and they have been individually knotted by hand using 100% recycled cotton cord. The little carol song sheets are made from thick paper. The gas lamp is black with a warm yellow glow in the lamp. It has a piece of wire threaded through the middle for stability. The carollers are standing on a white bed of snow for which I used a thick twisted cord for effect. The male carol singer also has a piece of wire threaded from the bottom up through his trouser legs, again for stability. A piece of poplin cotton has been hand sewn to the base.
If you are looking for an eco Christmas display, this Victorian style macramé ornament could be just what you are looking for. It has been made using recycled cotton (apart from the poplin base, although 100% cotton, it is not recycled). It is also plastic free and even the glue used is plastic free vegan friendly glue.
